June 2011 - George & Alex
Well...according to this season of The Bachelorette that's what woman are still interested in! SERIOUSLY?! SERIOUSLY?! You're thinking "Corrine, you still watch that crap." Why yes I do. I like to watch girls and boys make poor decisions in love as my husband (who often also cooks and plays video games after I go do bed) sits by my side and grunts to every remark as he reads whatever the heck is
Anyway back to Supper Club. Yes! All of the above is true. George and Alex once again made an elegant and hearty meal that I sadly had to miss. My husband, the other Alex, reported that everything was amazing and took a few photos of the dishes. Pretty awesome huh? Bet you wish you could be in a Supper Club and have Christmas with cool people once a month. AND instead of cold potatoes and lumpy gravy (actually my mom makes amazing gravy and potatoes) you would get served something like below.
Starters
Toasted Pita and Fresh Mediterranean Salsa
Crushed Peas w/Feta and Lemon Dip
Rum-soaked watermelon puree punch w/Contreau, served from inside a watermelon bowl
Soup
Chilled, Spicy Thai Watermelon Soup w/Crap
Salads
Creamy Potato Salad w/Horseradish
Fennel and Tangerine Salad
plus
Meatballs stuffed with olives
Entree
Especiale Lasagna du George
Dessert
Key Lime Pie
Coffee and Teas
Holy Moly am I right ladies? Thinking about getting rid of the hair teaser and moving on to some dudes that want to make you all of this? Yep, that's what I thought.
Now, Jessica (second year Supper Clubber) got it right. She married a man that could cook AND guess what they are having a BABY! Woohoo! So by December of this year we will have 3 babies in our Supper Club. Jessee is due this month! Lots of exclamation marks.
So here is some advice for the day. Watch The Bachelor on TV, do not marry The Bachelor AND join a Supper Club.
