June 2010 Supper Club

On June 20th, George and Alex hosted a Rooftop BBQ Father's Day Addition, in Williamsburg Brooklyn. We started off chatting in their apartment with lots of appetizers - Hummus made with beets, bruschetta and borek served with margaritas. Yum Yum Yum. Since Alex and George were up until 8AM "dancing" we were all a little bit more than surprised about their ambition and technique.
After apps, we headed up to the roof for salad, gazpacho and burgers accompanied by a beautiful sunset behind Manhattan and the Williamsburg bridge. Since it was such a beautiful night, there was a line for the apartment complex grill, but it was well worth the wait.
George and Alex always seem to amaze me with their cooking. In the past George has made a 4-course Greek dinner with 1 burner and a food processor and Alex has had some of the best BBQs. They are really my "proof in the pudding" when I say, "Anyone can and should join a Supper Club."
I have to say one of my favorite parts of Supper Club is not having to help clean up the mess. I'm not sure when Alex and George went to bed on that Sunday night, but it was probably determined on if they cleaned up all the tomatoes or not. :) Check it out! I took pictures.
